Changes at FAU
A few days ago, I saw the old program of architecture career, and I think that may I had preferred study that program instead of the new program that was implemented the past year (2016), and I think it, because it had computer graphics as a subject, which is a weak point on me, and something that I have never ever learn very well (always on my own, watching video tutorials on YouTube).
That is a an example of things that I think that could be better on FAU, especially on architecture, or just little changes that could be applied to improve the system and better our conditions as students of this career.
Another thing that bothers me of the faculty, is that in the majority of subjects (except Workshop and the structural subjects -the really difficult ones-), there is a attendance list, and personally, I believe that is a proof of that you perfectly could study the subject on your own, because usually they aren't difficult, so they (the Faculty) force you to come to classes (and loose a lot of time traveling - I live on Maipú, and I spend 3 hours daily just traveling-), threatening with fail the subject just for not coming to classes, independently if you approve and demonstrate that you learn what was supposed to learn. A counterexample of this, is that in the FCFM (faculty of physics and mathematical sciences) there isn't almost any subject with attendance list, except for the sports subjects. And that, obviously is because of all the students know that if they don't go to classes, the will not learn a subject properly, and very probably they fail them, so it is not necessary to make a threat with fail the subjects just for not comming to classes.
In terms of infraestructure, I think that could be more spaces to study (in silence, because the "fish cage" is always full of people -really loud people-, and the library too) and more spaces to work, with big tables and open spaces (places where loud people could be as annoying as they want, without bothers people that need to study in silence).
And finally, I think that would be great if were created more green areas inside the campus (because yes, I know that there is a park next to the faculty, but anyways you have to go out to go there) like in Juan Gomez Millas campus. I think that turn the parking zone into a long green area, where you could go lunch, talk with your friends, study, read a book or just take a nap, would be a very great thing.
