Learning english
In my opinion, the experience of learning english at the university was a good experience in terms of the way the classes are made. I mean, it is good to have the speaking practice at the classroom, and that you can talk with a partner about a diversity of topics. But sometimes it is difficult to communicate and have a fluency conversation when your partner don't have the same rhythm that you have at speaking English, so in some cases, didn't exist a real feedback about your level of English or if you get wrong anyone corrects you. So, maybe a modality where could be possible to speak more with the teacher included, and not only with the classmates, I think should be a improvement to the class.
And about the blogs, I my point of view, are a good tool to practice more the writing part, but, same as the speaking practice in the classroom, didn't exist a feedback, so, you don't have how to know if what you write was well written, or know what you have to better (if it is the grammar, the vocabulary, etc.); another thing that I have to say about the blogs, is that I have never understand what was the aim of make comments in the classmates's blogs. I know, maybe it is for to make them to read texts in english; but again, what is objective if anyone makes you real corrections about what are you writing (everyone's makes complacent comments, just to accomplish with the order of "make comments"). So, in conclusion, it is a good tool, but not well used (or with a great potential that is not exploded).
In my personal case, I think that I have problems with the speaking part, because it takes to me a long time to formule the phrase that I would like to say, which is a problem when you are having a fluency conversation. I think that the only way to improve this is talking more usually, and I could do that if I could find anyone with to talk to.
Outside the class, I just use english when I watch a movie or a serie (now I'm watching The Big Bang Theory, and I really fall in love whit it), and despite of that I use the subtitles yet, I try first to listen what are the character saying and if I didn't catch what they say, I read the subtitles and in my mind trying to translate what I just listen.
Finally, I think that the biggest challenge about learning english in Chile, is that the Chilean people didn't spell well, even spanish, so it's hard to learn well when you are forced to look for anyone that should speak english clearly (that often is a person who has been living in another country or who has studied english) and not just someone that just "read" the words in the chilean way.

Maybe the Chilean way of talking english is the problem, because talking with others peoples who has the sames problems as you with the lenguaje can be worst and maybe in the future we create a new chilean-english lenguaje as we do with the spanish.
